Multi agency meetings are professional meetings that take place on a bi monthly basis after the admission of a young person, and all professionals involved in a young person’s care plan are invited to attend these meetings and attendance is appreciated as these meetings review what work has been completed, areas of development / concern and future work to take pace
Each LAC Review will be attended by the key worker for each young person and the Manager. A comprehensive, factual and concise report will be provided to necessary individuals two weeks prior to the Review.
Reviews are carried out in accordance with Section 26 of the 1989 Children Act.
This act requires that Local Authority Social Services regularly review the written care plan for young people who are “Looked After” by them.
The purpose of the review is to ensure that young person’s welfare is safeguarded and promoted in the most effective way
This is done during the period they remain “looked after”.
